TCSI | Paying for Treatment

Paying for Treatment

At The Center for Success and Independence (TCSI), the cost of treatment is determined based on your teen’s unique needs and their personalized treatment plan to address those needs.

We accept most private insurance plans, as well as self-payment. Insurance plans accepted include:

Commercial

  • Aetna
  • Beacon
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna
  • Comp Psych
  • Magellan
  • United Healthcare/UBH/Optum
  • Value Option

Medicaid

  • Community Health Choice
  • Texas Children’s Health Plan
  • United Healthcare

We are available to help you obtain information about your insurance coverage and applicable benefits. Your employer’s HR department or your insurance provider should also be able to answer any questions you have about coverage for the cost of treatment.

After we verify your insurance policy’s applicable benefits, we will calculate your personal financial responsibility, based on your deductible and co-insurance amount.

Your deductible is the amount of money you are required to pay before your insurance company pays for any health benefits. Once you meet this amount, your insurance benefits go into effect. Your co-insurance is the percentage of your family’s medical bill that is your financial responsibility after you meet your deductible.

Please note, with this type of treatment, insurance companies rarely approve an entire stay upon admission. Typically they require periodic reviews of your teen’s medical record during his or her stay. We are experienced in working with insurance carriers to provide the information required for this review process. If your insurance company determines there is a medical need for continued care, a “certification of days” will be given to continue coverage – but usually a few days at a time until treatment is complete. TCSI has no control over the outcome of these periodic reviews, and these reviews don’t guarantee payment by your insurance carrier when treatment is complete and you receive your final billing statement.

Keep in mind TCSI cannot hold your insurance provider responsible for payment of fees.  Upon admission, you enter into a financial contract with TCSI which obligates you to pay for the services provided. If your insurance company does not cover all of your family’s treatment costs, or if you choose to pay for care outside the coverage of your insurance plan, you are responsible for the uncovered balance. Please be sure to bring your initial payment with you at admission.
